Dear NEST Users,

I would just like to let you know that I have successfully built, installed and tested NEST on macOS 12.0.1 (Monterey) on Apple Silicon, following the standard procedure for the Mac. Both Apple Clang 13.0 and G++ 11 work.

Note that there have been some reports that upgrading to macOS Monterey can very thoroughly lock your machine, especially Intel-based machines (https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2021/11/why-macos-updates-might-brick-your-mac-and-what-you-can-do-about-it/), so you may want to wait with upgrading until this is solved.
