In general, I can recommend looking at the NESTML model files, which you can find at:
These are not guaranteed to correspond exactly to the NEST models, but should be very close and can potentially help a lot in developing an understanding of the much more intricate C++ code.
Dear Alberto,
Unfortunately, the equations are not explicitly in the NEST documentation.
The equations are
I_syn_exc = G_EXC * ( V_M - E_ex )
I_syn_inh = G_INH * ( V_M - E_in )
I_leak = g_L * ( V_M - E_L )
dV_m/dt = ( -I_leak - I_syn_exc - I_syn_inh + I_ext ) / C_m;
G_EXC(t) = const * t * exp( - t / tau_syn_exc )
where the constant is chosen so that G_EXC(tau_syn_exc) == 1
and correspondingly for inhibitory input.
Best,
Hans Ekkehard
Dear experts,
do you have any suggestions where could I find the explicit model for the IF COND EXP neuron?
I mean the mathematical formulation of the model.
Thanks
Alberto
